Michael T. Klare is a professor of Peace and World Security Studies at Hampshire College and defense correspondent at The Nation magazine. He is the author of several books including Blood and Oil: The Dangers and Consequences of America’s Growing Petroleum Dependency (Penguin, 2004), The Race for What’s Left: The Global Scramble for the World’s Last Resources (Picador, 2012), and All Hell Breaking Loose: The Pentagon’s Perspective on Climate Change (Metropolitan Books, 2019).
