Marian has been playing a key role in developing sustainable practices for garden designs and landscape architects and has been championing sharing these ideas and her knowledge with others. A key theme that came up throughout the episode was that you don't need to work your socks off for a sustainable garden, many sustainable practices can in fact save you lots of time, money, and carbon, all whilst helping our garden critters too. Alongside this, we talk about various challenges associated with garden design and how when we think of sustainability, its easy to focus on biodiversity or carbon, and actually we also need to factor in the importance of building communities as part of a sustainability strategy too.
