Note: Please keep in mind not to confuse what is 1 and 2 Esdras (Ezra and Nehemiah) is not the 1 and 2 Esdras of the Apocrypha (formerly known as 3 and 4 Esdras). 3 and 4 Esdras can be found in a separate section in the Clementine Vulgate much like some Protestant King James Bibles.

Study and scholarship of unknown documents is something to be praised. However, looking at the Nestle-Aland and UBS texts, should these texts been used for translations ? What are the advantages and disadvantages ? How are we to discern this issue objectively ?

The Textus Receptus was a Greek text created by Erasmus intended to help those understand the gospel better. However, the text would be used by early Protestants for their new bibles ? Were his changes justified or only create more confusion ? Was he too influenced by his love for humanities which watered down the gospels in his new text ?

In scripture 1 John 5:7-8, there is a reference to the Trinity. However, are you aware that many bibles are missing this passage ? I give a quick intro and then provide a link to a video that’s under 24 minutes.
