Corvalán was the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Chile for over 3 decades. He was an ardent defender of the Soviet and Eastern European socialist experiences. Comrade Corvalán passed away on July 21, 2010. This episode begins a series of chapters on the publication "Conversations with Margot Honecker," (2000).
