On the morning of March 25, 2009, a call comes in of a possible break in at a home in the quiet town of Grovetown, GA. When the police arrive on scene, they find much more. It appears that someone came in contact with the intruder, a struggle was evident in the blood trail that led to the garage. In the garage lay Laverne "Kay" Parsons, brutally beaten, but still holding onto life. As she is rushed to the hospital, the investigation leads to her neighbor and best friend's home, where another burglary has apparently occurred the same morning. However, everything is not what it seems and the person responsible for the attack on Kay hides in plain sight under the cloak of friendship until her lies are quickly exposed.
