The person who makes a difference . . .

Assumes the position of being owned by Christ.

1. It is part of the nature of every believer. (27:23; see also Romans 14:7-9; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Galatians 3:13; Titus 2:14)
2. It is the practice of every believer who makes a difference. (27:23; see also 23:11, 26:32; Luke 9:32; Romans 1:1, 12:1-2; Galatians 1:10)

Displays the character of Christ.

—Two Examples—

1. Calm, even in great turmoil. (27:14-26)

2. Confident, even in great danger. (27:22-26, 30-36)

Fulfills the ministry of being a servant of Christ.

1. The claim. (27:23)

2. The conduct. (27:23; 28:3, 7-10, 21-44; see also 1 Corinthians 3:10-17, 4:1-2)
