The (Personal) History of Games

To close out Season 2, I was so pleased to speak with my Aunt Dawn about her time reconnecting with family playing Tiger Woods PGA Tour for the Wii. This is some of the most personal history of games to me, so I hope you like it too because it was really a joy to hear these first hand stories of coming together.

Comedian, streamer, and pal of mine, Pat Baer joins me to chat impressing cousins, importing games, and booking shows while we play DDR songs in Stepmania. (So if you hear any stomping, that's me playing DDR for an hour while interviewing a guest!)

This week Samit Sarkar, front page editor of Polygon and all-round sports fanatic, joins me to play some classic NHL 95 while we talk getting the most of out a game, luck and happenstance, and unions (spoiler: They're great!).

We're joined by my good friend Gino Grieco this week to get deep into Final Fantasy storylines while reminiscing about bad parties, apple picking, and debate clubs.

We got an EIC in the house this week with Ty Galiz-Rowe from Uppercut Crit bringing all the Kingdom Hearts knowledge to blast my brain into smithereens from Goofy's death (and quick revival) to blowing up eels and so much more.

This week Luiza Tanaka puts a pause on creating mind-blowing environments for Singularity 6 and joins me to play World of Warcraft while we talk long-distance friends, languages, and believing in yourself.

Indie dev Aerial_Knight joins me this week to play a little Pokémon Gold for the GameBoy Colour while we chat Rugrats, sneaky gaming, and making opportunities for yourself.

Season 2 is here and the guests are poppin'! This week I'm joined by Ben Wilson. Creative producer at Die Guten Fabrik, Ben shares some time with me to play Micro Machines V3 for the PS1 while we chat brother hijinks, half-lives and conkers.
