In this episode, Jason's pick takes us back in time to the 70s and over to Spain for a challenging little flick directed by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador. Join us as we question its use of mondo movie elements and ultimately tackle the titular question posed by Who Can Kill a Child? from 1976. But before all that, Jason dishes on a delightful piece of regional filmmaking, and Dustin goes on a J-Horror bender with some newer flicks. And so much more!

Next Time:
I is for I Know What You Did Last Summer
This week we get together to talk about Tony's pick, the 2025 slasher sequel I Know What You Did Last Summer
A group of friends are terrorized by a mysterious killer who knows about a gruesome incident from their past.
Episode 7 marks a return to the Macabre format, a continuous mix built to be experienced without interruption.
No talking. No breaks. One uninterrupted descent.
The focus this time is Italian zombie cinema, a corner of horror that stands apart for its atmosphere, pacing, and sound design. These films lean into mood over logic, letting dread build slowly before pushing into chaos, and the music plays a central role in that experience.
The set pulls from across the Italian zombie landscape, guided by composers like Fabio Frizzi, Goblin, and Stelvio Cipriani, alongside deeper cuts that longtime fans will recognize without needing them spelled out.
Some selections come from widely known classics, while others emerge from more obscure corners of the genre. Together, they create a consistent tone built on decay, tension, and unease, capturing the sound of a specific era in horror filmmaking.
This mix is designed to run straight through. No skips. No interruptions. Just a slow, deliberate descent into the world of Italian zombie horror.
Slice into something sharp as we take a swing at one of the most brutal—and somehow most toyetic weapon choices out there: axes. From double-bladed beauties to chunky, chrome-plated choppers, we’re hacking through heaps of plastic to spotlight the most iconic, impractical, and just plain insane axes ever packed in a blister card. Along the way, expect some questionable design choices, a few safety red flags, and plenty of stories about why axes always felt just a little more intense than your standard sword or blaster. It’s a cleave-tastic celebration of toy carnage you won’t want to miss—and yeah… it’s a real cut above the rest.
We also spotlight Main Street Geek during our Store Tour segment and talk about whether it’s a shop that everyone should visit someday.

Season 03 Episode 06 dives headfirst into the chaos and thrill of Record Store Day 2026, built entirely from what actually made it out of the crates and onto the turntable.
This episode captures the full experience, from relying on connections to secure releases to finally digging through what was left and finding unexpected gems. It moves through a wide spectrum of sound without warning, shifting from atmospheric and cinematic to abrasive, stripped-down, and deeply political, all tied together by that shared moment of discovery that only comes from physical media.
Along the way, there is a focus on reinterpretation and rediscovery, whether it is live recordings that breathe differently, long out-of-print material finally getting proper vinyl treatment, raw demo sessions that reveal the origins of iconic songs, or reworked versions that completely change how familiar tracks feel. The episode also leans into personal history, reflecting on formative listening experiences and the lasting impact of artists who shaped the way music is heard and understood.
It all builds toward a closing stretch that highlights how some artists continue to evolve decades into their careers, reshaping their sound in real time and proving that nothing is ever truly finished. This is not a highlight reel of Record Store Day hype, but a curated snapshot of what it actually feels like to chase music that still matters.
