The PFPN

Screams from the Basement hits the slopes for a ski trip DOUBLE FEATURE! We hit the bunny trail first with THE ROOM of slasher movies, 1989's ICED, featuring a slasher bound on revenge after a danger ski accident year prior. We then hit the ski lift for Adam Green's all timer survival thriller from 2010 with FROZEN starring Shawn Ashmore and Emma Bell!

Watch Caught Stealing (2025) for our next B Movies are the Best Movies episode!

NEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AND OSCAR SNUBS CONVO

This week on Cracktastic Plastic, Elgn and Jason crank up the nostalgia and dive headfirst into the world of cartoon theme songs. We’re each counting down our personal Top 5 favorites—the themes that instantly transport us back to Saturday mornings, after-school TV, and living rooms filled with toys on the floor.

From catchy earworms to full-blown mini anthems, we play each theme on the show and talk about what made them stick, why they still rule, and how these songs became just as iconic as the cartoons themselves. If you’ve ever found yourself humming a theme song decades later, this episode is for you.

We also spotlight The Comic Interlude during our Store Tour segment and talk about whether it’s a shop we should visit someday.

Time to do what we do best! Dive into a movie with a narrative that we feel is unearned. Today we start to tackle the Hobbit trilogy. Is it really that bad? Does it just stink? Did Peter Jackson just forget how to make movies? Or is there more to it than that? (Spoiler... yes!) We will unpack the 'why' behind this underrated fantasy film that doesn't deserve near the crap it gets. We also have fun in our 5x5 segment with the Top 5 Wizards/Magicians in films of all time. So don't drop that ring, get on your ponies, and run if your sword glows blue... it's time for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on The Movie Defenders podcast!

Join the podcast crew as we drop into Andy Kaufman’s brilliantly strange world, where boundary-pushing comedy collides headfirst with pro wrestling feuds that felt as real as any main event. Set against the late ’70s and ’80s comedy boom, the film captures a time when audiences didn’t know whether to laugh, cheer, or grab a folding chair and that confusion was exactly the point.
