Spice1 has had a successful career with gold and platinum records under his belt and continues to release new music to this day. Don talks with Spice1 and Mr. Blacc about Hip Hop history and how cannabis influenced that, how Spice1 has used cannabis to keep his calm throughout his life and stay out of trouble, and how its influenced his music from a young age! Spice also touches on his relationship with hip hop legend, 2pac, and how it shaped his life after 2pacs death.

In this episode, we bring some familiar faces from the New Mexico cannabis community to the table, Colt and Ruben from High Horse Cannabis as well as Chad and Josh from Gnarly Farms. In southern New Mexico, High Horse is a new cannabis retail business that will open in the coming weeks. It intends to service the major population surrounding the southern border of NM. High Horse and Gnarly Farms are partnering to bring some high-quality products to the adult-use market there. We discuss the flood of retail customers from Texas and its impact on the New Mexico economy, licensing hurdles, how different states deal with legal cannabis crossing their borders and the end of prohibition in the US.

Don hangs out with David White, Owner and Operator of Organtica. Over the past decade, David has been involved in the cannabis industry in New Mexico, running a vertically integrated business that sells cannabis to medical patients and now adult customers. David talks about the importance of supporting local businesses and MSO or Multi-State Operations entering into the New Mexico market, how that affects everything from pricing, market space, small businesses, and the potential fallout of oversaturation, something a state like Oklahoma is experiencing.

Don Speaks with Jeff Gardner, Master Grower at R.Greenleaf and Breeder with Presi Genetics. He is a 9 year veteran in grow at a large commercial scale. His breeding project, now well into 5 years of hard work, is producing some of the most resilient genetics, focusing on min/maxing everything for high quality at scale. In this discussion, Jeff, Don, and Jesh speak about the misconceptions about growing cannabis at a large scale, some of the common expensive mistakes made in large grow operations, the ethics of different practices when growing cannabis in mass amounts, and the nuances of quality vs profit.
