The Pick 3 Show

Having just about survived being stranded on a desert island (see EP 5), our intrepid panerl of 'experts' is going back but this time they will each select three celebrities to join them as they try to survive and ultimately escape. Martin takes on the task in a strategically logical manner, Gareth makes a potentially fundamental error, whilst Andy sets off for the craic and to cause some disruption. Anyone who listened to our earlier show will already be anticipating some chaos.

It seems obvious that the PickMaster General was in somewhat of a maudlin mood this week and, therefore, challenged his/her panel to reveal the top 3 movies that made them cry. Gareth is a confirmed movie weeper, Andy tears up to animated movies, whilst Martin rarely admits to feeling emotion let alone crying. However, today's podcast may well show our listeners a different side to the panel, particularly as to whether Martin has tear ducts?

The PMG challenged the panel, plus special guest Ashley, to dig into their archives and own up to the times that they simply followed the crowd into some dubious fad.

The PickMaster general threw the panel a home fixture this week by asking for their top three choices of Premier League players (past and present) To counteract an obvious Liverpool bias on the panel (Gareth & Andy) and a limited football knowledge (Martin), the PMG drafted in an old friend of the show, Ashley Parks, to bring some balance. In an animated discussion the most surprising digression to Fantasy football occurred and led to a debate on the complicated rules of the MFL (Malone Fantasy League) and Ashley's experiences dealing with a ruthless opponent in Dolores Santiago Calatrava.....

Everybody experiences fear differently and almost all of us have stories about times we were pretty unnerved. When the PMG sent down this topic the panel looked back at the times when we had experienced fear and today's episode relives some of those memories. This week things get a little more personal as the PickMaster General decided to quiz the panel on "Ambitions" that they still wanted to try and achieve. This caught Gareth in a more emotional and vulnerable mood than normal but, luckily for him, the Pick 3 panel is a close knit and supportive team who picked him up off the floor and wiped his tears away. Plenty of diversity in today's choices but also a topic that unnerved our normally vocal listener group.

After a pretty intense stretch of topics and debates, the PMG decided to give Andy's brain a break and suggest a discussion more in line with his skillset. Martin & Gareth enjoyed watching their "colleague" Andy, with less of a frown than normal, as he settled into one of his favourite entertainment genres.
