Introducing 'the chef' Rick Rosentengle - Taught tennis by coach Bob Gonzales in 1983. From there he went on to oversee a Pickleball special event at Sam Houston st University, and then onto the University of Kansas. Eventually migrated to Texas ATM Commerce and gained enough experience to impress Curtis.

He learned Pickleball as a senior leader for coach Gonzales ( football coach). Having sports experience he eventually earned his degree in Campus Reccreation ( part of the higher education/ student affairs in most schools) . He manages the youth/ teen and senior sports/ pickleball programs for Dallas Parks and Recreation (Fretz Recreation center) . He personally does the 'Intro to Pickleball' classes himself.

Meet Matt Hampton … Who has started the first collegiate pickleball program. He's a professor at Grand Canyon university and Co-Owner of ArmourPickleball. Bringing pickleball fun to all through completition , family , friends and fellowship. Collegiate / regional championships are now the norm in Arizona thanks to Doc Hamption. More fun stories of having their butts handed to them unexpectantly by experienced senior players then starting to play.
