A daughter's rough day in the public school system unites a husband and wife to step out in faith and obedience and start a Christian school! In this first episode of the Pickled Eagle Podcast, Zac sits down with the ladies of RVCS's founding family, Amelia Alderman and her daughter Anne, to hear how God called Pastor Robert Alderman to establish Roanoke Valley Christian Schools in 1973 through Shenandoah Baptist Church.
They pull back the curtain on the hardships and joys of the early days: construction, athletics, mascots, a one-of-a-kind first fundraiser, and the mindset of Pastor Alderman. Mrs. Alderman still has the fight and spunk she had decades ago and holds nothing back, while Anne keeps the facts straight!
