  • DBB Summer Interview Series: Mike Nicol
For this episode, Jordan Bellant and Ben Gulker are joined by a special guest, Mike Nicol. Mike is a fan and frequent contributor on Detroit Bad Boys and brings his expertise to the pod.
The episode starts by talking through some of Mike's earliest and best memories as a Pistons fan. Also, how he became a fan of the team and found DBB.
Then the conversation moves onto the team's interesting offseason. Starting with the draft, the guys break down the pick of Luke Kennard. Jordan offers up a case for Donovan Mitchell and why the two picks will always be tied together (like KCP and Trey Burke).
Next comes free agency and the team's surprising move to trade for Avery Bradley, moving Marcus Morris in the process. More than that, the decision to move on from Kenavious Caldwell-Pope. Good luck in L.A., KCP!

  • Detroit vs. Everybody... Else: Backcourt
On this special episode of the Detroit Bad Boys podcast, Jordan Bellant and Ben Gulker are joined by Jacob Kuyvenhoven. The trio tackle the idea of comparing the Pistons roster to every playoff team's roster in the East.
Starting with the point guard spot, it pits Reggie Jackson against the other point guards in the East. The top four (Isaiah Thomas, Kyrie Irving, John Wall, and Kyle Lowry) make for a quick conversation, but also lead to inspecting the merits of Isaiah's career year and how to properly rank the PGs in the East.
From there, it moves onto the teams ranked 5th through 9th in the Eastern Conference Standings. With questions like: Is Dennis Schroder good? Is Malcolm Brogdon your Rookie of the Year? And which version of Rondo do you use to compare?
After point guard, it's time to talk KCP and the shooting guards. While Kentavious heads for an important summer, where does he really rank amongst two-guards in the East? Below Demar and Bradley, but who else?
Is he better than a two-way player like Avery Bradley? What about the cast of one-way players like J.R. Smith and Dion Waiters?
Listen to find out their opinion, but share yours on DetroitBadBoys.com

  • End of Season, State of the Pistons
On this episode of the Detroit Bad Boys podcast, Jordan Bellant and Ben Gulker discuss the end of the season.
While disappointing, the final few games gave fans a different glimpse at the roster. Given that glimpse, Ben and Jordan break down what they spotted in the last five games.
Starting with BOBAN! His play showed why he deserved a larger role and more minutes throughout the season. How does he change the distribution of minutes next season? What does his rise mean for Aron Baynes? Does Baynes even accept his option?
From there, the conversation dives into the roster. Looking at players' full season production, Ben talks about the highs and lows of the year. From Jon Leuer to the guys on the fringe like Mr. Henry Ellenson.
This pod closes on KCP and his future in Detroit. Heading into an important off-season, he is just one of the many potential moving parts. A quick preview of the offseason closes out the first of many offseason episodes!

  • A Post All-Star Update!
Jordan Bellant and Ben Gulker get together for a quick rundown on all things related to the Pistons. Starting with the trade deadline, the guys look at how certain moves will affect the playoff picture in the East.
That includes Toronto adding Ibaka, right before they lost Lowry to an injury. It also means discussing the Bulls and their 'on the fly' moves to stay competitive in the East. Looking around the East, the focus turns to teams #6 through #11 in the standings, all with a chance at the playoffs.
From there, Jordan and Ben discuss the team's first two games since the break. That includes the clutch overtime win against the Hornets and the tough loss to the Boston Celtics.
Looking ahead, the schedule looks manageable but Ben tells you why that shouldn't make you think it will be "easy."

  • A 'Proper Pistons Perspective' Before the All Star Break
On this episode of Detroit Bad Boys, Jordan Bellant and Ben Gulker are joined by Keith Elliot (@envius023 on Twitter), "a jack of all trades in the entertainment world" and a big time Pistons fan.
Keith helps put the season into a different light. Starting with the team's dramatic win against the Toronto Raptors, Ben and Keith help to break down the good and the bad. Talking about the game, the focus turns to the factors that led to the comeback win.
The group debates the merits of Ish Smith deserving more playing time. Also, is there something wrong with Reggie Jackson? Keith offers his thoughts and is ready to pump the brakes on any overreaction to Jackson's struggles.
From there, the conversation turns to Stan Van Gundy, the rotation, and questioning personnel decisions. Is the team in need of a trade at the deadline? What type of move would benefit the Pistons?
Next, it's time to talk about Andre Drummond. Is he better than the advanced stats suggest? Ben has a different way to look at the numbers.
Finally, the trio looks at the upcoming schedule and talks about potential playoff matchups for the Pistons.
