  • A Quick Pistons Preview, Review and Breakdown
Uploaded late... and delivered right on time. Recorded on Monday, this podcast is still a perfect listen over the Thanksgiving holiday! Ben and Jordan are joined by Sean Corp as the trio revisits their Season Preview episode by further breaking down the Pistons and their playoff odds. Almost the first "lost episode" of the DBB Podcast, it brings you a rundown of the season thus far. It examines the team's upcoming games, focusing on where the Pistons fit in the Eastern Conference.
Looking at the early play of the Pacers, Heat and Bucks - this episode is a great way to learn more about the teams competing for once of those playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. Ben offers how to improve the bench play before Brandon Jennings returns. Sean offers how to improve the roster with a potential trade in mind (Ryan Anderson, anyone?). And Jordan plays a quick game of vulture with the Nets' roster.
Also included in this truly professional episode: Sean calls upon Ben's intellect to figure out the Bucks (Jordan thinks they need a "Brandon Knight"), Ben helps us understand a great question brought to us by Mike Payne, and a Donuts Montazuma mention!
This episode can be enjoyed on iTunes and Blog Talk Radio, just searching "Detroit Bad Boys." Make sure to subscribe and expect new episodes each week of the NBA season!

  • A Tough Finish Out West... Reasons to be Optimistic?
This episode was recorded just a day after the Pistons loss to the Lakers. It was the team's fourth straight loss, a disappointing end to the west coast trip. They say misery loves company, so Ben and Jordan are joined by two special guests this week. Sean Wheeler, aka Hypnowheel brings his optimism to the pod. While Jacob Kuyvenhoven is there to "crush Sean's dreams" and keep things in some interesting perspective.
Jacob also previews the Pistons' D-League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Drive! Could the bench's solution be found in Grand Rapids?
The guys cover the good and the bad of the season thus far, trying to get a better feel for the team overall. A 5-5 record feels different after a hot start and a quick slide, so Ben and Sean try to figure out what are the main problems with the team. The episode wraps up with the crew answering questions from the #AskDBB mailbag and pondering the team's near future.

  • Is it Too Early to Celebrate?
Just one day after the game with Golden State, Jordan and Ben are joined by frequent Detroit Bad Boys contributor, Ben Quagliata. The Aussie brings his quick wit and analysis to an episode that reflects on the Pistons' early successes. Starting with a review of the road trip thus far, the Pistons are 2-1 including the dramatic finish against the Portland Trail Blazers. Where were you when the Pistons went on a 24-0 run? The guys reflect on the game and put the big win in perspective. Things are kept in perspective when the Bens and Jordan consider the bench struggles and the team's performance against Golden State.
While discussing the games, the three rejoice in the play of big man Andre Drummond. Is this what the breakout season looks like? Ben Gulker asks if Andre is even a finished product, after winning Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second straight time. Then, a quick preview of the rest of the West Coast swing comes just in time before the game with the Sacramento Kings. What will the Pistons record be when the return home to face the Cavaliers on November 17th?
Finally, a new segment of the podcast closes out this episode. It's time to open the mailbag and answer fan questions submitted through DetroitBadBoys.com and Twitter. Using the hashtag "#AskDBB" the guys answer questions on the return of Brandon Jennings, Andre's attitude, and what it means to play SVG basketball.

  • Pistons are Only Three Games In... And It's Time to Celebrate!
It hasn't always been pretty, but the Pistons are 3-0 to start the season! Ben and Jordan are again joined by Sean Corp to break down the start of the season. While examining each game, the guys talk about some of the big storylines thus far: Like the loss of Jodie Meeks, the emergence of Marcus Morris, the stagnant offense and the potent defense! While the defense has been a surprise, it gives Ben and Sean a lot of confidence about the rest of the season.
After further dissecting the team and opening games, the conversation turns to the big picture. Will the Pistons make the playoffs? What teams in the Eastern Conference will be fighting for a spot alongside our Pistons? This topic has the guys discussing the Heat, Pacers, Celtics and Bucks.
Some news and notes around the NBA rounds out the episode. If you're looking for more, make sure to check out DetroitBadBoys.com. • It's Season Preview Time!
Today's episode comes just in time! Sean Corp, Editor for the Detroit Bad Boys, joins Ben and Jordan to preview the Pistons season. The guys breakdown the preview by answering 'big' questions about the upcoming season.
Questions like: What should fans be most excited about? What are the team's weaknesses? What player(s) is each one of us most confident in for the 15-16 season? That opens up a discussion on the progression of Andre Drummond & the value of Reggie Jackson (and the need for him to stay healthy!).
As always, there's tme to praise Stanley and Stan Van... and then ask the question everyone ponders this time of year. What does the best case season look like? And what does a disaster season look like (Hint: Disaster feels a lot like last season)?
Just two days to go before the NBA season tips off! This pod is the perfect way to get you ready for some Deee-troit Bas-ket-ball!

  • Bringing Back the Pod: Preseason Edition
On today's episode of the Detroit Pistons podcast, Jordan and Ben have Detroit internet radio personality Andre Douglas in studio to discuss the Pistons after six pre-season games. The trio dissects the roster, salivates over Stanley, and analyzes just how successful this Stan Van Gundy creation can be. After a comparison to the former Magic teams under SVG, the roster becomes the focus. The crew debates the progression of Andre Drummond and the players on the roster bubble.
After talking about the team's pre-season play and the roster at-length, it's time to preview the Eastern Conference. So the group agrees on what teams are at the top and the bottom... with the Pistons somewhere in the middle. But what teams should the Pistons worry about? Who else in included in that jumbled middle in the East? And how do the Pistons stack up, compared to the rest of the conference? You just have to listen to find out...

  • The worst kind of terrible, Moose's future and Drummond's present
After a (too) long hiatus, the Detroit Bad Boys podcast is back! In this episode, Ben and Steve discuss a long list of topics:
What does it mean to be a Pistons fan after more than half a decade of losing? How long can and should the fanbase support a franchise that seems to lack a clear direction for improvement? Should the Pistons embrace the losing and hope for a good lottery pick, or cheer for a playoff run?Andre Drummond is coming alive!Rajon Rondo was traded to the Mavs – what does that tell the Pistons about Greg Monroe's trade value? What more does Jonas Jerebko need to do to play?

  • The good, bad and ugly from the Pistons' first three games
It's three games into the season and Stan Van Gundy's Detroit Pistons are still looking for their first win. Matt Watson, Mike Payne and Sean Corp of DetroitBadBoys.com discuss the good, the bad and the ugly from the first three losses.
    The Good:
Detroit's defense is (mostly) improved!Greg Monroe looked really good in his first game.Brandon Jennings recovered well from two bad games.
    The Bad:
The offense is really bad so far. What happened to the improved 3-point shooting?Injuries have kept us from seeing what this team can truly do.
    The Ugly:
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been awful. Josh Smith's silly "feud" with Kenneth Faried.
    Questions going forward:
What will the rotation look like when everyone is healthy?

  • Andre Drummond goes to Spain, Gigi Datome stays in Detroit
Matt Watson and Sean Corp discuss Team USA's surprising decision to bring Andre Drummond to Spain for the FIBA World Cup. Also, we introduce the first #AskDBB segment, focusing on Drummond's development defensively and how soon until he drags the Pistons back into contention. Next, we dig into Gigi Datome's decision to turn down an offer to return to Europe, and whether he has a future in Detroit's rotation. Sean points out some surprising statistics about Detroit's new free agents and what that might mean for the Pistons' offense in 2014-15. Last but not least, longtime DBB commenter V. stars in our favorite FanPost of the week.

  • Andre Drummond and Team USA, Greg Monroe and the QO
Matt Watson, Mike Payne and Kevin Sawyer of DetroitBadBoys.com are joined by SBNation.com's Ricky O'Donnell, who attended Team USA's scrimmage Thursday in Chicago, to discuss Team USA's latest injury scare with DeMarcus Cousins, how that might affect Andre Drummond's chances to make the final roster and whether Pistons fans should even want Drummond to continue playing given the injury risk.
Later, the DBB crew discuss the recent report that Greg Monroe has decided to sign Detroit's qualifying offer, which would make him an unrestricted free agent next summer, as well as Monroe's tweets denying the Pistons ever offered a contract in the first place. Is there hostility between Moose and Detroit's front office -- or is Monroe simply annoyed at the media for leaking one side of the conversation? And what role does DBB play in amplifying every rumor?
Following Paul George's injury and reports that Roy Hibbert is on the block, are the Pacers falling apart -- and does that open the door for the Pistons? And should fans get excited about seeing the NBA's new 2014-15 schedule? Maybe not, but hey, it's still more fun than baseball. All that and more.
