The Pioneers Of eSports episodes

  • Episode 5 - Steven Lucas

Steven Lucas won the 1991 Nintendo Campus Challenge, the follow-up to the legendary 1990 Nintendo World Championships.  Unlike NWC 90, finalists in the NCC 91 were not given a competition cartridge and this is likely the biggest reason this tournament is not very well remembered today.

  • Episode 4 - Zach Hendrix

Zach Hendrix was one half of the winning team of the Wii Games Summer 2010 national championship in the teen division.  Though this major Nintendo tournament was relatively recent compared to events like the 1990 Nintendo World Championships, there is little recorded history of this event.

Zach has a gofundme for a planned documentary on the Wii Summer Games 2010.  https://www.gofundme.com/WiiGames2010
