Founded in 2015, the origin story of Tater is as American as the game of baseball.

In 2015, Tater Baseball, (formally Tater Bats) was born out of a shed in the backyard with a dream of becoming something special.

Our Founder and CEO, Freddie Vargas, was inspired to form Tater when his brother, Jeremiah, and Father, Fred Sr, came home from a training session.

While talking about an idea for a training bat, Freddie stated, "We can change the game with that." and Tater was launched soon after.

The NABF is excited to announce that it will expand its baseball operations to the Caribbean. Sint Maarten Baseball-Softball Federation has become the first-ever NABF Franchise in the Caribbean and Mr. Austin Helliger has so graciously agreed to serve as the NABF Director of Caribbean Baseball. Mr. Helliger is a resident of Sint Maarten Island, part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in the Caribbean. Mr. Helliger is the President of the Sint Maarten Baseball-Softball Federation which oversees baseball and softball operations on the island. He will oversee the development of NABF Baseball Leagues and Franchises in the Caribbean.

This development in the Caribbean will begin with the first-ever International High School Baseball Tournament, in 2024 on Sint Maarten Island. The NABF, the International Caribbean Sports Tournament (ICST), in partnership with the Open Borders Sports Foundation (OBSF), and Sint Maarten Baseball-Softball Federation, will host the International High School Baseball Tournament, A total of 16 teams from the United States, the Caribbean and Europe will compete for two berths to the NABF High School World Series in Knoxville in 2024

When it comes to outfield play, Andre Butler is one of the best in the coaching profession at developing high level outfielders. With 11 years of coaching experience he’s never been more passionate about the outfield position than now. Dating back to 2012, Coach Butler noticed the lack of outfield attention given to players at the high school and collegiate level.
