Normally we'd say "it's fall y'all!" but that would just be sacrilegious. Lots of fall festivals and Oktoberfests are on deck for the next few weeks -- now all we can hope is that they don't ALL GET RAINED OUT. It's finally a hockey night in Pittsburgh and thank heavens because our other major league teams are not getting us into the spirit of sports. 

We're also yapping it up about our recent experiences with Shabu Shabu Hot Pot & Grill and Calithea Skincare. Spoiler alert: they're great! Not as great as we think the "key clubs" from back in the burgh's good ol' days would be, but pretty darn good.

Alright, we’ll say it. We’ve never been to the Renaissance Festival nor have we really even looked into it. After doing way too deep of a dive into the events they’ve got throughout September, we think it’s fair to say that it sounds absolutely nuts but honestly pretty fun. Will we go ourselves?! Only time will tell. 

Other items that only time will also tell? Where we go for Maria’s bach trip after getting 10 million recs from the folks online, how much Allegheny taxes are going to increase over the next 5 years with the new reassessment, and how badly our bellies might hurt after the Rib and Soul Food festivals.

Happy back to school to all who celebrate! We don't personally celebrate, but back to school season did have us thinking about what schools and townships are viewed as being the preppiest in Pittsburgh. So we put together a list of course! 

After we got our tan on at Salom Kismet and got out tone on with Flo Yoga, we can officially say the poddy is proud to be working on pilates bodies. But believe us, if you're looking to make new friends and get a good workout in, you need to be doing the big group fitness events! Since we were in the Strip for the ladies tailgate, Maria made a phenomenal point that the whole area isn't just one spot but a combination of several tiny little districts. You'll see what we mean when you listen!
