On episode thirty-five of The Platform Podcast, I have the pleasure of sitting down with Allyssa Althaus, a bartender at one of my favorite spots in Nashville, Whiskey Row!

Allyssa, a North Carolina native, recently made Nashville her home after completing her college education at UNC Wilmington. Despite initially lacking a plan, she has thrived in this vibrant city and now calls Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row on Broadway her professional home.

This episode covers a wide array of topics, including the introduction of new segments for future episodes. We explore her favorite spots in the city, including the popular hangout Mother's Ruin, and the connections she's built within Nashville's bar community.

During our chat, we also dive into Allyssa's favorite tracks, such as 4Batz & Drake's remix "act ii: date @ 8," and I introduce her to new music from Future, Big Sean, Kane Brown, and Illenium, making her to determine their playlist worthiness.

We then turn our attention to the future of Nashville, with its growing popularity and the addition of new bars. From Garth Brooks' "Friends In Low Places" to Draft Kings and PBR's rooftop bar "Ava," as well as upcoming spots like Morgan Wallen's "This Bar" and Eric Church's "Chief," Luke Comb's, Bottled Blonde and more, the city's nightlife isn't slowing down.

Despite her current success, Allyssa's ambitions go much further beyond bartending. She's pursuing a Master's Degree at Liberty University with a focus on assisting individuals with special needs, contemplating the possibility of launching her own practice in the future.

Allyssa caps off the show by shining a spotlight on her friend Jenna, who not only works at Whiskey Row but also runs a side business designing exceptional hats tailored to Nashville's vibe.
