Is Italian publisher Bending Spoons Apps IVS' really buying up exclusive licenses to award-winning apps (like Wonder Blade, Crashlands, and Fowlst) only to put them behind the paywall of its subscription service Playond?

Even going so far as to limit access from prior purchasers?

If so, what do the Apple terms of service have to say about the practice?

What can be done by consumers looking to access the games they'd purchased?

And does it make sense to complain about such behavior? On the part of Apple? The publisher? The developers who "sold out"?
