Workers hired by contractors or under contract basis suffer low wages, few medical and social benefits.  as well as lack of job security.

The Malaysia Worker’s Network (MWN) is a coalition of more than 20 workers’ unions and NGOs that is calling for the abolition of contract labour.

In January the MWN has launched the Worker’s Manifesto in which it demands the  much needed protection for contract workers in terms of worker’s rights and welfare among others.
