In this episode the unscrupulous reporter and the events organizer looking to get more publicity at whatever cost is trying to get the reporter tp hold on to the news of the feud between the two singers in the rival groups.  The organizer thinks there might be a better time later on when the two groups have released their records with a view to getting more publicity.
