Em and James investigate the rumoured update to the Nintendo Switch hardware, and explore the changes they'd like to see in a new model. This week, Nintendo and pals unleashed the kraken of content upon the shores of the iOS and Android gaming continent. Within 24 hours we witnessed the app store birth of Monster Hunter Stories, Professor Layton and the Curious Village, and Harvest Moon: Light of Hope. In addition to touchscreen ports of these 3DS games, we were also given a historical first with Dragalia Lost, an original Nintendo IP created exclusively for mobile.

Ipso facto: James, Em, and Ric find themselves debating the merits of the newly announced PlayStation Classic. The time when you look at your not-even 12-month old iPhone with disgust, throw it out the window of a moving car and into the face of a passing racoon, before immediately driving straight to the nearest web cafe (you've just thrown away your phone, remember) and smash the pre-order button on a brand new handset you can't afford and which bears a striking similarity to the one you only moments earlier embedded in the cranium of an innocent trash panda.

Another week, another podcast, another missed release date for The Elder Scrolls: Blades. Luckily, James and Ric have plenty more games to chat about instead, including word puzzler Alphabear 2, twitchy vertical platformer Wall Kickers, and the crane-oriented Small Cargo! They also discuss the latest in the Fortnite-on-Android debacle, some pervy Vita game Ric likes, and talk to the producer of Asphalt 9: Legends about *that* control system.

It's a jam-packed show this week - or should that be 'jam DONUT-packed' show? (No. No it shouldn't - ED). James, Em, and Ric step into the breach to talk about the Switch port of Into the Breach. Gamescom is in full swing, which means lots and lots of mobile gaming news this week. James, Em, and Ric get very excited over the prospect of being Cersei in Reigns: Game of Thrones, then try to work out what the heck a Monument Valley movie would actually look like. There's also new releases to cover, including the iPhone version of Rome: Total War, and excellent hex puzzler Evergarden. Plus James talks to creator Simon Read about his New Star Soccer series.

A few days late due to Gamescom (apologies!) the podcast returns with James, Ric, and Em covering King's most mechanically ambitious game yet, Legend of Solgard. They also chat about the mobile version of the endlessly violent Barbearian, as well as upcoming releases for iPhone, iPad, Android, and Switch.

Ric and James jump behind the mics to mourn the loss of Nintendo's favourite green plumber after he was brutally murdered in a shocking snuff film released earlier in the week. RIP Luigi. They also cover the Fortnite Android beta, and new releases like manic chef sim Overcooked 2, and psychedelic brain frazzler OLDTV. In addition, James chats to the team behind the excellent stealth game Sneak Ops, which just appeared on app stores everywhere.
