In this short episode, I share some reflections on legacy, joy, and what remains when everything else feels uncertain or in flux.
Prompted by a simple question—“What does joy mean to you right now?”—I explore how my own joy has become deeply intertwined with the idea of legacy. Not legacy as ego or achievement, but legacy as what is indestructible in us, what we return to, and how we remember ourselves through moments of struggle.
I talk about:
- How my creative rhythm is shifting, moving from long-form episodes to shorter, more intimate reflections
- Why my compass for joy is currently calibrated toward legacy
- What it means to think of legacy as “what remains” beyond our current personal, global, and local experiences
The questions that keep surfacing for me:
- What is indestructible in me?
- How do I return to myself when things get hard?
- How do I fortify the truest parts of me so they become my living legacy?
- The idea of becoming our own legacy, not from an egoic place, but from a deep honoring of our sacredness
I close with an invitation for you to reflect on your own life:
- How are you becoming a legacy?
- What is your compass of joy set to right now?
- When you think about what remains—what in you cannot be shaken—what comes up?
Mentioned in this episode:
- My return to sharing in a new format: shorter episodes, excerpts, conversations, and thoughts
- New creative work and music I’m currently cultivating
- Active spaces where I’m sharing more:
Stay tuned for more reflections as I keep exploring joy, legacy, and the practice of honoring what is sacred within us.
Abrazos,
V
