We get a double elimination episode kicking off the big boy and the last day of the week (and I will fight you if you try to tell me it's first). Fresh off "his big move as a big boy," Will takes it to the face. Boastful, he got caught. Sunday, on the other hand, barely appeared in the episode. With the exception of saying "I'm underrated," we hardly had a peep from her (to be clear, she seems properly rated). This episode, in contrast to literally the rest of the season, we were able to take an emotional breather by having two players booted who, I'd imagine, not too many people chose to be their favorites.

I know we do it every time, but this was easily one of the best episodes of Survivor that we have seen. In this episode we discussed: Adam turning the tides, the elimination of the Kingpin Zeke, Will's big moment ruined, Ken losing his zen, Jay being sneaky good, and heart-wrenching, tear-jerking family moments. This season has been unpredictable, exciting, titillating, and fun. It's a pleasure creating this podcast. I tell you what: Jay and Taylor did everything they could to try not to go home. Taylor, in Bret's words, is an agent of chaos, and though he never truly engaged the game to become a serious contender, he most certainly had an imprint. He was a great villain and for that reason he will be missed. Jordan is sorry for talking about Adam's general lack of social tact far too much on this one, but it was integral to the storyline of the game. That edit sure did mislead us to believe that a certain Adam was going to be sent packing but nope! It looks like Michelle found herself on the outside, which is disappointing because America will never get to know that she believes that humans lived alongside dragons. Yes, she truly believes that. Anyway, Michelle found herself blindsided by the coalition of Gen X'ers and nerds, who voted her out because they knew she wouldn't see it coming. Indeed, she didn't. Adam played far too hard this episode. It's like chill out, bra. Oh, and Taylor was a douchelord, but we all kinda knew that. Plus some random tidbits and Zeke being dope.

Was that the most shocking tribal council departure in Survivor history? Who saw that coming? Did anyone predict that? Jordan honestly thought they were simply trying to stir up drama prior to the tribal council so that it wouldn't be a dull and boring affair and boy was he wrong. Michaela played a hell of a game, and, because of her strong game play and ineffable qualities, she now finds herself out of it. We also discussed whether we thought it was a good move by Jay, who is well-positioned, whether Hannah is, in fact, a human emoji, and David's decision to share the knowledge of his idol with Zeke. All in all, this was a great final episode before the merge...

A Tribal Council goes surprisingly straightforward. CiCi is not only the name of a garbage pizza place, but it's also the name of the person rightfully eliminated this week because she can't swim. How are you going to go on Survivor when you can't swim?
