The Podcast Pivot – Episode 2: Don’t let your content stop when it drops

Most businesses put a lot of work into a podcast, webinar or recorded talk. Then they post a link and move on. In this episode, Damien explains how to “sweat the asset”: how one recording can give you a month of marketing.

He talks about a healthcare podcast MBMS is now 14 episodes into. Every episode is turned into clips, blog posts, press material and search-friendly transcripts. He also explains why so many podcasts stall around episode three and again around episode seven, and why you should give a show at least six months.

Then he goes through the full repurposing method, step by step:

    • Plan each episode around one goal: awareness, trust, leads or a launch.
    • Record clean audio: close mics, a quiet room, and the clap test for echo.
    • Find the 5–10 best moments: strong opinions, stories with an ending, surprising numbers, practical how-tos and real reactions.
    • Cut and brand your clips: around nine from an hour, in 9:16, square or 16:9 depending on the platform.
    • Turn the transcript into more content: LinkedIn posts, an article and a newsletter.
    • Spread it over four weeks: set a few KPIs and track them.

Plus a real example: the founder podcast series MBMS made for Arco before the company was acquired, recorded mostly in a room at the founder’s house.

  • Should your business have a podcast?

In a world where AI can churn out an entire marketing campaign before lunch, how do you cut through the noise and actually be heard? In this first episode of The Pod Pivot, Damien, founder of MBMS Podcast Studio, makes the case for long-form conversation as one of the last truly authentic forms of business content.

Recorded on a walk through a field, Damien covers why you can't hide an agenda in a thirty-minute conversation, and how B2B brands don't need a huge audience, just the right one. He explains how a product roadmap discussed on mic becomes a sales tool, and how one monthly episode can supply a month of clips, hooks, blog posts and SEO-friendly transcripts. He also looks at the benefit most businesses overlook: preparing for a podcast forces your own teams to talk to each other.

If you've been wondering whether a podcast is right for your business, or where to even start, this one's for you.
