'The Lego Batman Movie' is a 2017 computer-animated superhero film directed by Chris McKay. The film focuses on DC Comics character Batman as he attempts to overcome his greatest fear to stop The Joker's plans. Written by Seth Grahame-Smith, Chris McKenna, Erik Commers, Jared Stern and John Whittington and stars Will Arnett, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson and Ralph Fiennes.

'Ghost In The Shell is a 2017 film based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Masamune Shirow as well as the full length anime released in 1995. The American live-action adaptation is directed by Rupert Sanders and stars Scarlett Johansson as 'The Major'. Set in the near future where the line between humans and robots is becoming blurred, the plot follows 'The Major' who has her brain placed in a cyborg body to become the perfect soldier, and who yearns to learn of her past. 

'Ghost In The Shell' was written by Jamie Moss, William Wheeler and Ehren Kruger and also stars Takeshi Kitano, Michael Pitt, Pilou Asbæk, Chin Han and Juliette Binoche.

We revisited science fiction anime classic 'Ghost In The Shell' in anticipation for the upcoming live-action adaptation starring Scarlett Johansson. Directed by Mamoru Oshii and released in 1995 the film combined overarching philosophical themes on what it means to be human in a futuristic, technology-driven world with action packed sequences and stylish visuals. George, Connor and Benny review the film and speculate on how it will translate to an American audience.
