The wait is over… one of the most talked about free agents has chosen his destination, and it’s the Golden St Warriors.

Patrick Beverly’s price tag has been set and it’s far from outrageous. How do Kings fans feel about a potential 3 year $40 million price tag? Why it’s worth it and why the Kings have to overpay. Speaking of over paying, we get word of Harrison Barnes contract offer. 4 years, roughly $90 million. I know it’s not popular. This is the approach the Kings have to take. They have to overpay and, really, this isn’t that bad.

Is Al Horford signing with the Kings? Greg at Sactown Royalty put out a brilliant conspiracy theory piece that says they are. It’s brilliant and it actually makes complete sense. Whoever is signing Al Horford already knows and there’s a lot of teams with cap space they can be crossed off the list. The evidence is circumstantial but it’s great fun.

The NBA Draft was last night and while it had its high points, it was, for the most part, very boring. Most drafts are. The emotion from some of the top picks was memorable. The trades, the movement, the tweets were all fun to follow but once everything settled in and the lottery came and went there wasn’t much there. Except for a particular useless broadcast from Chauncy Billips. This is the second big event in a row that has been damaged by a poor broadcasting performance from a former player. Mark Jackson damn near ruined game 6 of the NBA Finals by painting the Warriors as some sort of massive underdog. FIVE TIME WESTEN CONFERENCE CHAMPION!!!!! But Mark Jackson wanted us to believe they were Rocky Balboa. It’s at this point in the show where the uselessness of Chauncey Billips leads to an actual meltdown. Once we regroup from said meltdown the conversation shifts to who the Sacramento Kings drafted and why there is no reason to be upset about them taking a guard and not taking Bol Bol. Draft picks took a back seat to the rap battle you didn’t know you needed. Marvin Bagley III vs Damien Lillard. Jason Jones of The Athletic joins me to discuss this and what the Kings may be doing moving forward. Albert Pujols returns to St Louis for the first time tonight, and its gonna cost him.
