Then it's off to the races as we sprint towards the Blazers' first game of the '21-'22 season! The guys break down...

- The latest Kyrie Irving & Ben Simmons insanity

- AMINU TO PORTLAND?!?!? Seriously, it's discussed.

- Billups' defensive changes or lack thereof

The Blazers have played their first preseason game, THE SEASON IS SO CLOSE!!!

After some notes on the annual GM survey, including the definition of a "pure shooter", Dame's place among the NBA superstars, and which rules most need to change, @RipCityKeith & @ChrisJBurkhardt take a moment to whine about ROOT Sports before breaking down what we saw in the first game from the new squad.

After opening with a peek behind-the-scenes as Keith deals with ghosts in the machines, the guys dive in to age-old questions (like who's name goes first), age-based questions (like which social media has the most influence), ageless practices (breadmaking) & struggles (losing weight)...

And then FINALLY (after some complaints about covid-deniers), Keith & Chris get around to discussing the Blazers' Media Day!!!

Debates are had on many perspectives, including...

- Olsheyisms on repeat

- Billups saying all the right things

- Was Nurk not appreciated under Stotts' coaching?

- Does CJ listen to trade rumors?

- Could CJ be a #1 option on another team?

- Did Larry Nance Jr save the offseason?

All that and more, plus a preview of things to come in Trailcasters' 5th season!

Want to help pick those "things to come"? The Trailcasters want your help shaping the future of the show!

STEALTH POD! Keith is supposed to have other obligations, but there are sooooo many Blazers topics to talk about...

After paying their respects to the Blazers' Hall of Fame Coach Rick Adelman, Keith takes a moment to whine about the NBPA's pushback against a vaccine mandate, and the guys dive in to...

- Outdoor hoops coming to the NBA

- JCross on Twitter Spaces

- Inserting former Blazers in today's squad

- Melodrama & Front Office Etiquette

- Assembling the roster

- Simmons-watch!

...AND MORE!

One of TC's longest-running guests, Jamie Hudson, joins Chris & Keith this week and she comes in swinging! Approving a change to the show's Intro is only the start, as the trio bemoan missing out on Dame's wedding party before diving into...

- More details on Nance Jr's fit in Portland

- Expectations for Nurk's expanding offensive role

- Simmons' falling stock & the potential of a trade

- With a shifting roster, who will have a bigger impact this season: Ant or Nassir?

Wall-squirrels may delay the pod, but now that the Blazers will be requiring vaccinations, NOTHING will stop the Trailcasters from getting hyped for next season!

This week, @RipCityKeith & @ChrisJBurkhardt chop it up about:

- S.I. giving Blazers a bad offseason ranking

- Obligatory CJ trade talk, interrupted by an actual Blazers ***TRADE ALERT*** for Larry Nance JR

- Dame's IG post

- Chauncey's offensive/defensive changes

- Ant vs Nas

- Norm vs RoCo

- Breaking down the opening schedule

...and then, Keith steps on a landmine and gets Chris HEATED with an odd tangent about Mike D'Antoni... don't miss this part! In fact, write @trailcasters or [email protected] and tell us who you agree with!
