I'll tell you not that I like you still
I'll tell you not, against my will
"Liked" a strong word indeed
Hoping one day my heart will finally be free
On this day of love, I write this poem for all the love stories that have survived all fires and storms and shone brighter than the brightest star in the sky.
From being young and naive to being exposed to the real world which is anything but innocent. This is the story of you and me. This is the story of a girl named Betty.
“Where I’m from” was first written by George Ella Lyons and ever since then many have composed their own versions of the poem. This is my version. You can also check out the poem on my blog https://anaswritingjournal.home.blog/
We have all come across a Mr. Stupid who wrecked our lives, at least once. But do we give in? Oh no, we don't. We give them what we receive from them and turn it all into a poem.
On 16th June, 2020, 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a "violent face-off" with Chinese troops at Galwan Valley in Ladakh, India. This poem is a tribute to those brave souls who laid their lives to preserve their motherland.
