  • AI Needs Data Centers And Canada Is The Perfect Place To Build Them | Here's Why That's A Problem

AI needs massive data centers to operate. And Canada just became the most attractive place in the world to build them.

Here's why that should concern every Canadian.

AI data centers consume 5 to 100 times more energy than traditional data centers. A single rack can draw enough power to run dozens of suburban homes simultaneously. The largest facilities being built today require their own dedicated power plants.

    So why Canada?

    • Alberta's natural gas is 40 to 50% cheaper than in the US because it's essentially trapped locally

    • Canadian winters eliminate up to 50% of cooling costs — the freezing air does the work for free

    • Tech giants can bypass public grid fees entirely with Alberta's Bring Your Own Power program

    • American companies get even more value because their dollar goes further in Canada

America is running out of power. So Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Meta are bringing their AI infrastructure here instead.

And Kevin O'Leary is already spearheading Wonder Valley — billed as the world's largest AI data center industrial park — a 70 billion dollar, 9 gigawatt facility in northern Alberta that was just exempted from provincial environmental review.

Nobody asked Canadians if they were okay with this.

This is Episode 4 of my 5 part series: AI — The Missing Link To Our Government's Surveillance And Censorship State.

Tomorrow: East Meets West with Jason Lavigne. Tuesday: The final episode — how it all connects and why social media bans are the key to implementing the surveillance state.

  • Canadian Government Agencies Are Already Using AI To Surveil Citizens | Who Are They?

Canadian Government Agencies Are Already Using AI To Surveil Citizens | Who Are They?

Episode 3 of our AI series.

Most Canadians still think AI surveillance is something coming in the future.

    It’s not.

    It’s already here.

In this episode we break down:

    • Which Canadian government agencies are already using AI surveillance technologies

    • Predictive policing systems

    • Facial recognition software

    • Social media surveillance

    • Algorithmic policing technologies

    • Automated license plate readers

    • Palantir & data-mining systems

    • Smart surveillance infrastructure already operating across Canada

From the Department of National Defense to police forces across the country, the infrastructure is already being deployed.

The question is no longer IF these systems exist.

The question is: How far will they go?

5G Changed Everything Yet Most Canadians Think It’s About Faster Internet. Here's What's Happening.

Episode 2 of our 5-part AI series.

Most people think 5G simply means faster internet on your phone.

    That’s not what changed.

    5G changed infrastructure.

For the first time, wireless technology became fast, stable and predictable enough to support real-time applications and massive sensor networks almost anywhere.

    Tonight we break down:

    • What IoT (The Internet of Things) actually is

    • Why latency matters more than bandwidth

    • Why smart devices are constantly collecting and transmitting data

    • How pipelines, water systems, electric grids and traffic systems are monitored in real time

    • Why 5G changed wireless infrastructure forever

    • How all these devices are creating the big data AI platforms like Palantir rely on

Most people think we’re just talking about phones.

    We’re not.

We’re talking about the infrastructure layer being built underneath modern society.

  • Who Is Palantir And Why Should Every Canadian Be Paying Attention?

Who Is Palantir And Why Should Every Canadian Be Paying Attention?

Today is Part 1 of my new 5-part series:

AI — The Missing Link To Canada’s Surveillance & Censorship State.

Most people have heard of ChatGPT, Alexa or AI…

But very few Canadians know about Palantir.

A billion-dollar AI company specializing in:

    • Big Data

    • Government integration systems

    • Artificial intelligence platforms

    • Operational analytics

    • Real-time decision making

But what makes Palantir different is not just AI.

It’s their ability to organize, connect and operationalize massive amounts of fragmented data coming from:

    • Government departments

    • IoT devices

    • Smart technology

    • Telecommunications

    • Financial systems

    • Databases

    • Internet activity

    Tonight I break down:

    • What big data actually is

    • How Palantir’s AI systems work

    • What “digital twins” and AI agents are

    • Why interconnected government systems matter

    • Why Canada should be paying attention

    Tomorrow:

The Internet Of Things (IoT) — the smart devices collecting data everywhere around you.

Because this isn’t just about AI.

It’s about the infrastructure being built around it.

Tonight on The Political Orphans, Nico Lagan opens the floor to the audience for one of the most intense community discussions yet:

    • Immigration

    • National identity

    • Foreign influence

  • Bill C-22 Is So Outrageous Even Apple, Meta and Signal Are Fighting Back | Are Canadians Waking Up?

Bill C-22, Canada's so-called Lawful Access Act, is so invasive that some of the biggest tech companies on the planet are pushing back — and threatening to leave Canada entirely.

Tonight we break down the latest updates on Bill C-22 and what it actually means for every Canadian.

Apple has warned it will never build a backdoor into its products. Meta testified before Parliament that the bill could force companies to install government spyware directly onto their systems. Signal said it would rather pull out of Canada than compromise the privacy of its users. Windscribe called the Carney government corrupt and said it will move its headquarters before complying. NordVPN is considering removing its presence from Canada entirely.

But here's what nobody is telling you — Apple already complies with massive volumes of government data requests in the US and the UK. And Meta? The day after testifying against Bill C-22 in front of Parliament, they quietly removed end-to-end encryption from Instagram direct messages. Your DMs are no longer private.

So while Big Tech fights this bill in public, ask yourself — are they really protecting you?

John Carpay, President of the Justice Center for Constitutional Freedoms, joins us tomorrow at 7PM EST to discuss what Canadians can do to fight back.

Are Canadians finally waking up? Tell us what you think in the comments.

Arrested, Pranked and Silenced by Your Tax Dollars | Frances Widdowson Speaks Out!

Frances Widdowson joins Nico Lagan to discuss her recent arrest at the University of Lethbridge, growing campus censorship in Canada, media attacks, residential school narratives and the shocking allegations surrounding a CBC-linked “prank” operation targeting her.

After being handcuffed and removed from a university cafeteria while having coffee with a student, Widdowson says Canada’s academic institutions are no longer interested in debate — only control.

From campus bans and trespass orders to free speech battles and mainstream media narratives, this conversation explores the growing conflict between dissent, academia and institutional power in Canada.

  • East Meets West: Alberta Courts Just Blocked The Independence Petition | Is It Over?

Alberta's independence petition was blocked by the courts.

Hundreds of thousands of Albertans signed it. They followed the process. They did everything right. And the courts shut it down.

Tonight Jason Lavigne joins me from Alberta for the launch of our new bi-weekly series East Meets West — where we break down federal politics and provide real updates on the Alberta independence movement straight from the ground.

We cover what happened in court, what it means for the movement, what comes next and whether this is truly over or just the beginning of a longer fight.

We also address the King of England's announcement of a Digital ID — because what happens in the UK today has a habit of showing up in Canada tomorrow. And if you have been following the surveillance architecture being built quietly through Bill C-22, Bill C-9 and social media bans you already know exactly where this is going.

East Meets West. Every two weeks. Quebec meets Alberta. Federal politics meets the independence movement. The conversations mainstream media refuses to have.
