Nothing was riding on this game at Hillsborough, with Portsmouth guaranteed safety and Wednesday no longer able to reach the play-offs, and the game reflected that. 

It could have gone one of two ways: either the brakes come off and two teams go toe-to-toe, or both teams take a well-earned breather and not much happens on the pitch. Unfortunately for the watching audience, it was the latter.

Safe with 2 games to spare, Portsmouth head back to Yorkshire to face Sheffield Wednesday. 

Neither team have anything to play for, so this could either be a 'shackles-off' goal-fest, or a snooze-a-thon. 

Last time we played at Hillsborough it ended 3-3, which would be a nice again.

Portsmouth secured another season in the EFL Championship with back-to-back wins over the Easter weekend. 

An end-to-end 8-goal away win at Norwich was followed by a home win against 10-man Watford, and Pompey are safe with 2 games to spare. 

Who would've though this back in December when we were adrift at the foot of the table and struggling to see where a win would come from?

John Mousinho, the coaching staff and the team deserve huge praise for the job they've done.

The penultimate away day for Pompey this season is at Carrow Road, Norwich, this Good Friday. 

That means just two more games left to end this wretched away form. Norwich will not go down, will not make the play-offs, but they also will not roll over and let us win.

Late drama in both of Portsmouth's latest games sees the blues collect just one point from 2 games, but they remaining 4 clear of the drop. 

Heartbreak at Coventry after a spirited performance was followed by chaos at Fratton against Derby, not helped by some completely incompetent match officials.

Great at Fratton, terrible on the road. That's been the story of Portsmouth's season. 

If it wasn't for our home from (the best in the league since January, BTW) Pompey would be very much in trouble as we have now lost 10 in the last 11 away games, and only picked up 10 points on the road all season. 

This was a really nervous performance from Portsmouth from the first minute.

Back to winning ways against Blackburn, giving Pompey a 5-point cushion going into Millwall away, but away is the key word here.

It wasn't a good game to watch, but we got the three points and that's all that matters. 

Pompey took another huge step towards staying in the Championship with a hard-fought win against at Blackburn Rovers. One moment of quality between Josh Murphy and Colby Bishop was all it took, but it was enough. 

Blackburn looked like a team in poor form and low in confidence, and Portsmouth looked nervy, which resulted in a poor game.

But, it's all about the points, and we took them all.

The Leeds triumph has been sandwiched by utter tripe against Luton, Plymouth and Preston, which has left Portsmouth very much back in a relegation fight. 

Blackburn Rovers are next up at Fratton Park.
