Let's jump back into my conversation with Paola Barrera about John 11:1-44. In this episode we discuss how important it is to pour out our hearts before God when we struggle with what he's allowing to happen in our lives. While Paola and I camped out in different verses, we both landed at the same place. I'll share a small example of what it has looked like to give my burdens to the Lord, which somehow involved writing . . . the governor of Maryland (???). You just have to listen for this all to make sense.

This conversation was too good not to share the whole thing, so today we will listen to the first half and hear mostly what stood out to Paola. We often think of our time in the word as something we must do in private unless it's a formal Bible Study. But sharing a quiet time/devotion in the word is a precious activity to do with a friend or someone you're mentoring. Just read a passage together. Take an agreed upon amount of time (short or long) to ponder it privately. Then talk about it! And pray for one another to practice the truth of the passage.  The Ponder Method is one way to get into the word.
