In 1913, Martha watches in jealousy from afar as The Doctor learns what it is to be human and to fall in love with the local school nurse, Joan Redfern. Meanwhile Connor makes fun of the villains' croissant guns, while Rob draws comparisons to the original novel. The 456 announce, "We are here," as the eyes of the world turn to Britain. Meanwhile, Connor and James discuss the cons of sex after beans. Witness a pillar of fire descend upon London and Torchwood fight to protect their own families, in "Children of Earth: Day Three".

Torchwood Three is gone. Meanwhile Connor and James get sidetracked with Family Guy impressions. Witness Gwen, Rhys, and Ianto run for their lives, as Jack experience absolute horror in "Children of Earth: Day Two".

When all children on Earth stop and start chanting "We are coming", the Torchwood team investigates.  Meanwhile Connor and James argue over who is, in fact...the oldest man. Witness a global crisis and political upheaval in "Children of Earth: Day One".
