In the last 24 hours the WWE have released over 20 Superstars from their contracts, over 10 producers and backstage employees have been furloughed or fired.

By releasing the above staff will save approx 4 million dollars of the 140 million cost cutting measures (with a majority of this 140 from delaying moving the headquarters). This coming from a nearly 6 billion dollar company WITH “substantial financial resources, both available cash and debt capacity, which currently total more than $0.5 billion, to manage the challenges ahead.” Isn’t this money there to SAVE employees?… Sorry independent contractors.

This is all on the back of The McMahon’s substation $18.5 million “donation” to the state of Florida coincidentally as they are announced as an essential service, members of a new committee to assist the President in rebuilding the economy, and selling mass shares in the now bankrupt XFL.

This week Ryan and Jem are joined by Dirtsheet Dash as they deep dive into this entire mess and ask whether these layoffs needed to even happen.

Wrestlemania is here but things are a little different.

However through all this WWE still found a way to deliver something unique and fascinating.

We saw the introduction of vignettes with the Boneyard and Firefly Funhouse match. We saw titles change hands. We saw superstars go hard to entertain us all in this scary time.

Join Ryan and Jem as they breakdown the Showcase of the Immortals in this oversized episode.
