Marriage is intended to be a union of two people, equal in value and importance, who come together selflessly in mutual submission and intentional love. They are still distinct persons, but function as one unit. Marriage is a picture of Christ and the Church, modeling how Christ loves us perfectly and how we should respond to that kind of love.

Men and women are obviously different. They were created to complement each other. Neither is more important, but they do have different strengths. We were made to complete, not compete; but that requires us to selflessly serve each other in love and not try to control or dominate in relationships.

Using wisdom from Proverbs, JP lists 10 things young adults do that can ruin their lives, and how you can resolve to avoid such mistakes.

You are either a slave to sin or a slave to righteousness. You are a slave to sin when you can't stop doing something that is hurting you. Your only way out is to surrender to God daily and depend on Him to set you free.

On our own, we can do nothing worthwhile. But God, working through us, can do anything. Surrendered to God, we are changing the world through the lives of young adults.

In Solomon's conclusion to the book of Ecclesiastes, he gives advice to the young. Young adults need to have a proper perspective on life. Understand that present actions have consequences, and that you are right now becoming what you will be in the future. Trust that God knows better than you, and that His way leads to a full life.

Enjoy Your Life You don't control when you will die--and you will die. But you can control what you are doing right now. God calls us to live life to its fullest, and the "rules" He has in place are there to keep us away from the things that don't bring life.

You were not created to go through life alone, and you can only function as you are intended to when you are in right relationship with other human beings. Relationships are productive, comforting, and necessary for survival. However, envy, laziness, and busyness can keep you lonely.
