In what many people (two guys on Twitter) are calling the most anticipated Post Game episode of all time, we give our reaction to the college lacrosse selection show aka the worst snub in the history of the world. This mostly consists of 3 minute uninterrupted rants, one after the other. Enjoy.
This all comes after the weekend/life updates brought to you by Hangobi. Go to hangobi.com and use the code postgame30 for 30% off.
After ranting, we give our bracket picks and final 4 predictions.
We wrap the episode up with some live reactions to the PLL Draft.
Incredible episode and it’s an absolute marathon. Weekend/life updates (buy Hangobi!!!), NFL Draft talk, NHL playoff talk, and Ivy League hatred galore. Notre Dame vs Cuse recap, Chris Gray breaks Lyle’s record and Tucker Dordevic is transferring. Also The RPI sucks.
(58:02) THE Paul Carcaterra joined us for an incredible interview. We cover just about everything you could ask for. Carc shares some great stories from his time around the sport both as a player and broadcaster, we talk college lacrosse, we hate on the RPI some more and we talk a little PLL too. You’re welcome! Thanks to Carc for coming on.
New episode alert. 5th in a row, but who’s counting?
We talk life updates, Evan has a beer and ends his cleanse, we talk NFL draft, NBA playoffs, Twitter, Desert Dogs, the Ivy League and other random stuff. Loaded intro.
(58:24) Brett Dobson, current St. Bonaventure standout and PLL goalie prospect joins us for a great interview. Brett has made a name for himself this year with tons of 20+ save performances and announced he will forgo his last year of college eligibility to pursue the PLL this summer. Great guy, best of luck to him. Check out his goalie training service BD45.
We start off this week’s episode (4th in a row, btw) with our Weekend Update SPONSORED BY HANGOBI. Hangobi is a plant-based recovery drink perfect to drink after either a night out or an intense work out. Go to hangobi.com and use code POSTGAME30 for 30% off. We wrap up the intro with some TV show discussion, NBA playoff talk and college lacrosse spin zone.
(39:16) Conrad Oberbeck, Co-Founder and CEO of Hangobi, joins the show. Conrad played at Yale followed by a stint with the Lizards where he won an MLL championship. We talk all about his time at Yale and in the MLL, and starting his new company, Hangobi.
We start off with Evan’s injured life updates (#TheReturn) and keep the comeback momentum rolling right into an ACC hype session. Lot of lacrosse left. We get into the state of college lacrosse as the tournament gets closer and discuss Brett Dobson announcing he will forgo his last year of NCAA eligibility to declare for the PLL draft.
(55:07) All 5 current Notre Dame goalies join the show for a surprisingly good interview. They share some good stories about Coach Ryder, end of the bench banter, and that time Liam Entenmann wore bookstore sorority sweatpants during a game. We also let them plug their Merch #G$T. Give them some clout.
We are back once again and kicking off with life updates, pushing the ACC panic button, and discussing NLL highlights and PLL signings. We finish off with a Master's Dinner fantasy draft where Evan accidentally invents soup flights.
(56:34) Bradley Voigt aka Bubba comes on the show fresh off of a new NLL contract (Post Game bump). We talk about his time at Salisbury, Syracuse, in the MLL Bubble and his NLL career heating up. We also talk about the origin of the infamous Jeff Teat fake transfer news.
We kick off this week’s episode with some life updates as always and then actually talk some lacrosse for a while. ACC panic mode is still in full effect. The Ivy League is still good. And Nick is going to schedule BYU vs Culver Academy.
(54:06) TD Ierlan comes back for round 2 to be our first repeat guest (we think, don’t fact check us). TD gives great insight into the NLL, his coaching role at Syracuse and talks a bit about his decision to sign with the Redwoods for a few more years. Also if you think you drive more miles in a week than TD, you are wrong.
After some technical difficulties, we are so back. We kick off this episode by talking about weekends, St Patrick's Day, and mostly sports other than lacrosse. Then we dive into lacrosse and discuss the ACC crumbling, the Ivy League thriving and why things need to just go back to how they were before. UNC, Duke, Cuse and ND outside the top 10 is not fun for anyone.
(56:24) @diggstape joins the show for a great interview. We talk about his playing background, how he got started making funny videos, what the future holds for his lacrosse media career, and a bunch of other stuff like nicknaming Jack Hannah "Ed" and talking about the old Teen Wolf lacrosse scenes. Great guy, great interview. Don't miss it.
We kick things off with some life updates including Nick’s car getting broken into (not a prank). We wrap up the intro with a recap of the busy college weekend and looking ahead to next weekend.
(24:45) Dan Arestia, the legend himself, joins the show for a long overdue interview. We get a little into Dan’s background, the #FreeDan movement, and talk a bunch of lax.
Check out Dan on Twitter @danarestia to follow one of the leading voices in our sport.
We start as always with life updates. This one is extra special after Nick and Evan finally met in person. We get into college lacrosse including final four predictions, Tewaaraton picks and a Brennan O’Neill hype session.
(48:01) Brendan Bomberry joins the show for a great interview. We talk about his time at Denver, becoming a father and transferring to Cuse, the Minto Cup and the NLL. Lefty currently leads all transition players in points and will now quickly double those numbers after the post game bump.
