The Potter’s House of Camdenton

The sermon from Habakkuk 3 explores wrestling with God, remembering His past deeds and promises, and choosing to wait and walk by faith so that God can transform our hearts as a church community.

Habakkuk 2 answers the prophet’s wrestling: God sees evil, calls the righteous to live by faith, and promises justice in God’s appointed time. The chapter contrasts proud, idolatrous power with humble trust and urges patient faith in God’s word.

The sermon explores five prophetic woes against Babylon, then gives hopeful biblical examples (Nebuchadnezzar and Manasseh) to show God’s power to humble, forgive, and restore—ultimately pointing to the cross and the freedom of repentance and trust in Christ.
