In this episode we have a conversation with Cece Jones-Davis. Cece is a minister, artist, speaker and justice advocate and activist hailing from Halifax County Virginia. Cece gives us her experience and perspective of anti-black racism through a woman of colors lens. We then talk about the interconnectedness of justice and mental health and ways to seek flourishing for ourselves and our neighbors in doing that work in a world that can be so cruel and heavy.

In this episode we have a conversation with David Bedrick. David is a Jewish author, teacher, attorney and psychologist that focuses most of his work on what he calls unshaming and helping others see themselves more than through the lens of shame. In this episode David gives us a window into how his Jewish identity and experiences has shaped him and his worldview. We then discuss the current situation in Palestine and having a morally clear vision of what is happening, but a humanizing one at the same time. We then end on the idea of unshaming, what a lens of shame is and how to dismantle shame in our own lives and others.

First off, so great to be back with you all sharing this collective online space!
In this episode your hosts (Kyle and Jonathan) are back to talk a bit about masculinity, binary thinking and suicide awareness, because these intersect more than you think! With so much going on in our world we talk about us being complex humans, which we have chatted about in previous episodes, being confronted with complex moments/histories and navigating that better than the dualistic and binary thinking that has become ingrained in the human psyche.

In todays episode you will hear from our other host, Kyle Ridgley and his own journey of deconstruction, mental health and navigating a crisis of faith that has lead him to where/who he is today and why he is passionate about helping others navigate their own mental health and see people flourish. He then shares about navigating life where he is now as a gay man. His story is powerful and worth listening and leaning into. We hope you are encouraged by this episode and have enjoyed getting to know your hosts a little better.

In this episode, your hosts Jonathan Coggins and Kyle Ridgley do some reflection. We reflect on our episodes on liberation out of reformed/calvinistic spaces with Noah and Hannah and our episode on ADHD in a neurotypical world with Alex of the Epics Podcast. We give our own thoughts and things we took away from each episode. We then move into a conversation about progressing and wholeness, and the interconnectedness of those two things. We round out with the importance of progressing to continually become, because we are all becoming in some way. We hope you enjoy our conversation!
