  • #31: Overcoming Your Biggest Insecurity with Apryl Zarate Schlueter

How is your biggest insecurity impacting your life?

When I asked myself this question, and looked at my answers honestly, I was shocked at how much I had changed as a person and how much my life had changed along with me.

For so many years my hair loss controlled my entire life. Everything revolved around my hair, and if I could successfully keep it a secret that I had a lost most of it.

In this week's episode, I'm talking all about my biggest insecurity with Apryl Schlueter, who also has had her own struggles with hair loss.

Even though hair loss is the common thread here between Apryl and I, this is not an episode specifically about hair loss alone. It's really about the experience of living with massive insecurities that impact your life in huge ways. Apryl and I get super honest and raw about the experience, and in case you were alone in your struggles, this episode will definitely show you that you're not!

I cannot wait for you to dive into it and let me know what your biggest takeaway was.

For most of my life, I was confused about my identity, and as much as I've been committed to personal development, it was still a struggle for me to define myself. As a matter of fact, it was only in the last couple of years that I was able to describe my identity.

  • #26: Shattering the Shame around Mental Health with Jenna Monaco

You and I both know that talking about our mental health is less common, and less accepted, than it should be. Yet it's a fundamental aspect of our well-being, and THE key to our ability to function at our highest potential.

I've always been fascinated with the mind and how it can either function to our advantage or to our detriment. How can we actually take control over our own mental health, so that it stops taking control over us?

On today's episode of The Power & Potential Podcast, I'm chatting with Jenna Monaco, a mentor for women, a writer, and the podcast host of Spark Intention. Her mission is to remove the shame around mental health and teach other women how to ditch their stress and take back their lives.

Jenna is raw, authentic and gets incredibly vulnerable in her conversation with me and there is no doubt in my mind that you are going to LOVE this episode.

When you listen in, don't forget to snap a screenshot and share it out for the world to see. This episode can impact lives in a significant way, so it is worth sharing! • #25: The Quickest and Most Effective Way to Change Your Life

When you want to change something in your life, my guess is that you open up your phone or laptop and ask your good friend Google. Hey Google….How to (insert goal here).

The answer you'll get back is almost always a set of strategies, tactics, techniques - steps you can take to get to where you're going.

But I challenge you to step back and think about why you're going after that thing in the first place. What do you think you'll get out of it, and how can you achieve that change right now instead?

In this episode, I share my own thoughts on how to go about changing your life in the quickest and most effective way. This concept was literally revolutionary for me, and I can't wait to hear how it impacts you.

If you enjoy this episode, please do share it with anyone you know who is actively trying to make a change in their life. Life's too short, so if you can help them get there faster, that's a huge impact to have on them!

  • Feedback: How to Take it and How to Give it with Olivia Pratiwi

In this week's episode of the Power and Potential Podcast, I interviewed Olivia Pratiwi about her strategies on providing and receiving feedback.

Olivia Pratiwi is a Career Coach with a mission to empower women to confidently take that next step in their career. She helps women enhance their confidence, understand corporate relationships and enhance their soft skills to set them up for their next promotion.

I am fascinated by this topic because it's sometimes really difficult to know what kind of feedback is legitimate and what kind of feedback we can dismiss. I don't know about you, but I have been given all kinds of feedback in my life. Some of which makes me think more deeply about myself and I how I can improve as an individual, and some of it is completely detrimental and undermining.

So what I was most interested in understanding from Olivia was how the interpretation process works and how we can get to a point where we can not only receive feedback in the most productive way, but also how to provide feedback in a way that is best received.

I hope that you enjoy this episode and, as always, don't forget to take a screenshot and share your favorite takeaway with me on Instagram!

Have you been thinking about working with me as your coach? If so, feel free to send me a message. I always like to make sure that the fit is right before moving forward, and a quick (and free) phone call is often the best way to do that for both of us. :)

  • #22: Your Net Worth ≠ Your Self Worth

Have you ever thought about why you spend the way you do? Or why you use money, in general, the way you do?

So many of us have deeply internalized that our self worth depends on our net worth. Meaning that the more money we have (and the more lavish our lifestyle) the more worthy we are. And of course, the less we have, the less worthy we are.

Dr. Radha Maharaj, this week's guest on the Power & Potential Podcast, helps us understand the reasons we've fallen into this pattern, and what we can do right now to start peeling away our net worth from our sense of worthiness.

Dr. Radha Maharaj (Dr. M) teaches people of all ages core economic and financial concepts to empower them to make better decisions and to have a more secure and prosperous financial life.

She provides avenues regardless of age or knowledge that assist the understanding and implementation of financial concepts in daily life. Her books, talks and lectures are all aimed to demystify finance and make it relatable. Dr.M's main goal is to bring order and clarity to an important but sometimes intimidating subject for many individuals and families.

I am absolutely fascinated about the topic of money and how it relates to our identity and sense of worthiness, and if you are too, I am sure that you will find immense value from this episode.

After you've listened be sure to come follow up me on Instagram, and let me know what your biggest takeaway was! Enjoy :)
