Today's guest is a special one as we welcome our good friend Victor Assaf on to the show. Victor is an adaptive athlete who has competed at the CrossFit Games. On this episode we are incredible grateful to Victor for sharing with us his story. Victors journey is one that began as a competitor and was then sidetracked for many years due to an accident that left him without the use of his right arm. Ultimately Victor would discover that this accident was in many ways a blessing that would save him and lead him back to the world of competition where he now has the gift of positively impacting the life of so many. Victor is an amazing and genuine human, and we hope that you love listening to him here as much as we loved speaking with him.

We were fortunate enough to have Dallin on the podcast this week, and even more fortunate to have him out at our most recent Power Monkey Camp in TN. That's where we really got a chance to know him. He's a great athlete, and an even more amazing person. He is humble and willing to learn, and takes every opportunity to ask questions. We spoke with him on this episode about what it was like transitioning from the teen division to the individual one, as well as what made him decide to forgo a possible collegiate career in football and baseball and instead focus all of his attention on becoming the best CrossFit athlete that he can be in hopes of one day winning the CrossFit Games.

Today we welcome Don Tran and Prime Hall onto the podcast. Don and Prime are former Marine Raiders from within the special operations community and underwater survival instructors. Together they have leveraged their years of training and learning and brought what they found to be an essential method of training that was missing from within the fitness community. They utilize their unique approach to stressful situations to help achieve their mission of promoting a positive shift in mental and physical health. One of the key techniques they employee is their F.R.E.E system: Focus, Relaxation, Economy of movement, and Efficient breathing. This coupled with their other methodologies have allowed them to see marked benefits in participant performance both in and out of sport, as well as benefits when it comes to other mental issues such as depression and anxiety. In fact they are days away from publishing their study on the subject that was performed with Arizona State University. We are excited to have them on the show, and are looking forward to visiting them in Southern California to experience all of this first hand.

Not only are they dedicated to constantly improving and challenging the community with their variety of ropes, but they are dedicated to the education when it comes to their ropes and promote proper movement and technique patterns which we love at Power Monkey Fitness.
They've recently launched their new Frevo rope, made of a high impact polymer that can withstand a 50# dumbbell impact.
This week we are fortunate enough to have Adrian "Boz" Bozman, Director of the CrossFit Games on the podcast. Boz is fresh off programming his first Games ever. If you are only familiar with Boz as the Games head judge, then you are about to learn that he is an incredibly articulate, intelligent, and kind human, who put a lot of intentional thought behind this years Games.
We discussed why certain movements were chosen for the 2022 Games, favorite moments for Boz, and lessons learned this year. It became apparent that Boz and Power Monkey have essentially identical philosophies on movement practice, this conversation turned toward how this philosophy impacted his decisions when programming the various events. There are even some nuggets in there about where the programming may go in the future, if you're willing to "read between the lines". We hope you enjoy this episode, we certainly did.
