There are two spheres or categories in our lives: God’s domain, or the givens, and our domain, which is our responsibility to change. When we find ourselves in personality conflicts, we think we need to change the givens of our circumstances. Instead, we need to change our attitudes, lowering and humbling ourselves so that we see how great God’s people and purposes are, and how small we are.
