If we don’t teach our sons about purity, the world will. And it won’t whisper truth—it’ll shout lies. Culture is preaching to your kids 24/7. So Dad, it’s time you preach louder. Not with shame or fear, but with courage, conviction, and love. Because purity isn’t just about avoiding sin—it’s about building legacy.
Our springboard for today’s discussion is:“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)
You don’t have to have been perfect to teach your son about purity. You just have to be present. Honest. And willing to go first.
Don’t wait for your son to hear it from school, from friends, or from some video he stumbles across online. By then, it’s too late.Start the conversations now. And don’t make it a one-time talk. Make it a lifestyle.
What does that look like?
* Be the example. Live the purity you want to see in him.
* Be the teacher. Talk openly about God’s design for sex, lust, and identity.
* Be the protector. Guard his eyes while he learns to guard his own.
* Be the listener. Create a safe space where he can ask anything—without fear of shame.
Your son doesn’t need a perfect dad. He needs a dad who walks in the light.A dad who says, “I’ve been where you are. Let’s walk this out together.”
If we want to raise warriors, we can’t ignore the war.
Question of the Day:Are you intentionally teaching your son about purity—or hoping he figures it out?
Mini Call to Action:Start a purity conversation with your son (or spiritual son) this week. Keep it honest. Keep it biblical. Keep it going.
Prayer:Father, help me be the voice of truth in my son’s life. Give me boldness to speak, humility to lead, and wisdom to disciple him in purity. Guard his heart and guide his steps. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Let’s Get to Work.Don’t let the enemy father your son through culture. Be the man who leads him into truth.
