Welcome to our 5th Book, The Power of Habit: Why we do what we do in Business and Life by Charles Duhigg. 

The Habit Loop is comprised of three simple actions: the cue, the reward, and the routine.  This habit loop is constantly in progress, but the good news is that with this knowledge, we have the ability to change it.  As we continue throughout this book, we will increasingly understand why habits work the way they do, how to add habits, how to remove habits, and how to optimize your life….on your terms. 

Action Items:

  1. What is a habit that you want to get rid of in life?
  2. Next time you find yourself doing this habit, pay close attention to the actions before the habit.  What did you do, and how did you feel?
