This week on Beyond Stillness: Stories After Stroke we spotlight guest Flannery O’Neil who suffered a stroke in 2017 and has since devoted her life to the stroke community, serving as a support group facilitator and the COO of Stroke Onward, an organization dedicated to helping survivors rebuild their identity in recovery. Flannery discusses the shock of suffering a stroke at age 34 while living in a small, Colorado town. She also shares challenges of both visible and invisible disabilities. Flannery’s story is entitled, “The Power of Listening.”
