The Fourth Corner Credit Union was established as a Colorado State-chartered, not-for-profit credit union on November 19, 2014. This is the first credit union charter granted in over 10 years in the state. Despite that, both its applications with the Federal Reserve for a Master Account and its application for deposit insurance with the NCUA have been denied. CEO Deirdra O'Gorman joins us to talk about why the CU was formed and how it plans to handle some of the obstacles that are being placed in front of them.
