In this episode I get to talk to multidisciplinary artist and creative visionary Jessica Joy Jerome. In the words of Jesse, she is a ceremonialist, pleasure activist, body liberationist, intuitive, psychedelic weed witch. She is a fat, queer, neurodivergent trauma-nerd who practices shamanic-informed Earth-based ritual magic and loves to revel in the beauty, absurdity and mystery of it all. Jesse's magic is in the slow, grounded medicine work where they create soft landing spaces for human beings and bodies who don't always feel safe or seen in traditional so-called 'wellness' spaces. After reading Jesse's bio I couldn't help but feel this deep exhale. And also feel like I need what she offers. In this episode we talk about her life as a young witch living in a small town who became a theatre student and then eventually built a career in set production and design. With a high-pressure job that had long hours Jesse eventually burnt out and needed a break. This led her to creating offerings around psychedelic cannabis journey work which is clearly her calling. She is kind, loving and a soft landing for anyone who has the pleasure of connecting with her. Jesse's upcoming workshop is in Toronto, but we plan on offering it at The Well in May or June. So give her a follow to stay tuned! Connect with Jesse here: Jesse's IG: @jessejoy Soft landings: @___softlandings____
