Jesus wore a crown of thorns that all the world could see. They meant Him harm, disrespect, rejection, and embarrassment. Every weakness Jesus chose to expose and endure on the cross was a grace Jesus sent to the very center of our lives. That grace brings our humanity down and instead infuses the glory of His calling in our lives. Jesus released the power of the thorns on the Cross. That is why Jesus could not remove Paul’s thorn in his flesh but instead proclaimed: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” God’s grace is His “yes” that is always pointing our faith forward.
