Stafford Betty grew up in Mobile, Alabama, the son of an economics professor. CSU Bakersfield hired him to teach Asian religions, and many scholarly publications followed, including a translation of a 16th century Sanskrit philosophical text. Only in the last ten years did his more mature interests find expression. His research books The Afterlife Unveiled, Heaven and Hell Unveiled, and When Did You Ever Become Less by Dying? established his reputation as a leading analyst and exponent of the non-religious evidence for an afterlife. His novels The Imprisoned Splendor, Ghost Boy, and The Afterlife Therapist introduced this research to readers of fiction. YouTube lectures and interviews with Jeffrey Mishlove are available online. Stafford is married with five children.
