About the Episode What if your most productive state was also your most peaceful? Michelle and Laurie Smith demystify "flow"—that experience where you become so absorbed in an activity that the world falls away. Laurie explains that flow is a biological function as natural as breathing and offers a framework to move from the "grind" of perfectionism into the ease of your unique spark.
Meet Laurie Laurie Smith is an inspirational author, professional speaker, workshop facilitator, and coach who has been working in the fields of creativity and personal growth for twenty-five years. She is on a mission to spread the word about the transformative power of everyday flow—those experiences we have when we are so into what we are doing that we lose track of time. Laurie is the author of several books: The Flow Habit: Creating Peace, Passion, Purpose and Everyday Miracles, and Leap With Me: A Creative Path to Finding and Following Your True Voice. Since the start of the COVID pandemic, hundreds of creative people around the world have participated in Laurie’s free 28-Day Flow Challenges. She is passionate about how flow can help us access our creative spark, live our best lives, and share our unique gifts with the world.
